A MESSAGE FROM THE ARTIST:

The Fogface / Sumukasvo was painted in the middle of a crisis, when I felt like being in the middle of a dense fog. I didn’t know which direction I should go, or what would be waiting for me. Maybe I was standing in a valley and in front of me a mountain I would climb. But I didn’t know what the hike would be like. Encouraged by my friends, I dared to move forward, and slowly the fog faded away.

I painted this landscape in the artist residency at the Nordic Watercolor Museum in Sweden in year 2018. I wonder how the landscapes are talking to us. The character walks in a dreamy and nonpareils colored landscape, where the trees whisper and sing. Even when walking alone, alone you are not.
